Our establishment
The ALFONSO VIII GUESTHOUSE has a 1 star rating. It was totally renovated in 1996 and, along with the ROSALES GUESTHOUSE, belongs to the ELISA MEDINA chain. We are located in the centre of Alcaraz, in the Plaza Mayor square. This town is distinguished for its historic-artistic centre and its privileged setting, right in the heart of the Sierra de Alcaraz Mountains (Albacete province).

Rooms
Our guesthouse has capacity for 30 guests in its 16 rooms. We have 14 double rooms and 2 triples; one of them has a terrace. All rooms have a full bathroom, heating and television. There are also 2 extra folding beds and cots available if required.
Useful tourist information
Owing to Alcaraz's setting at the centre of several tourist routes, we can recommend the following nearby excursions: the source of Mundo River (Riópar), the Ruidera Lagoons, the Cazorla, Segura and Las Villas Mountains Nature Reserve, and the towns of Ayna and Elche de la Sierra. You can also enjoy our local fiestas in honour of the Virgen de Cortes, patron saint of Alcaraz, celebrated from 4 to 9 September. Also worthy of special mention is the Romería, or Pilgrimage, of the Virgen de las Cortes, which takes place on 8 September.
